Michael Johnson

Well this outdoor workout really pushed me to my limits today.

I’ve called it the Michael Johnson. I bet your asking yourself “why the heck does he call this the Michael Johnson?”

Well i had better tell you about the workout then I’m sure you’ll understand.

The Michael Johnson

10 times through with 30sec rest between rounds.

Do you see the connection? Michael Johnson and the 400m? Get it? hahaha, ahhhhh I’m stupid :)

In total it was

  • 200 x 1 1/2 pood (24kg) Kettlebell Snatches
  • 100 x Bodyweight Burpees
  • 4km run at 70 – 90%

Another outdoor workout that took me down a few pegs was the advanced “juggler” check it out and let me know your thoughts.

You can combine any exercises to make your own outdoor workouts. I came up with this as i wanted to work my core and give myself a full body muscle workout with some running for flavour. I’am in training for Tough Mudder so its important i get my running up.

Another big secret to performing at a high level is a proper warm up. I had my wife help me film this so if your a little unsure of a good warm up  then check it out.

Anyway let me know what you thought of The Michael Johnson and the Juggler.
