Whoa!
Well this outdoor workout really pushed me to my limits today.
I’ve called it the Michael Johnson. I bet your asking yourself “why the heck does he call this the Michael Johnson?”
Well i had better tell you about the workout then I’m sure you’ll understand.
The Michael Johnson
- 10 x Kettlebell Snatches (each arm)
- 10 x Bodyweight Burpees
- 400m run at 70 – 90%
Do you see the connection? Michael Johnson and the 400m? Get it? hahaha, ahhhhh I’m stupid
In total it was
- 200 x 1 1/2 pood (24kg) Kettlebell Snatches
- 100 x Bodyweight Burpees
- 4km run at 70 – 90%
Another outdoor workout that took me down a few pegs was the advanced “juggler” check it out and let me know your thoughts.
You can combine any exercises to make your own outdoor workouts. I came up with this as i wanted to work my core and give myself a full body muscle workout with some running for flavour. I’am in training for Tough Mudder so its important i get my running up.
Another big secret to performing at a high level is a proper warm up. I had my wife help me film this so if your a little unsure of a good warm up then check it out.
